Question SRP Disconnect Yesterday?

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday afternoon, at about 1:40 PM Eastern time, most of my BES showed SRP Disconnect errors, all at about the same time. This continued for about 15 to 20 minutes, as I frantically checked multiple BES to try and figure out what was going on. Things seemed back to normal within an hour, was just wondering if anyone else saw anything like this yesterday at around the same time? I'm about to start crawling through my log files and may even open up a case with T-Support, though I suspect it was something from outside my infrastructure that caused the problem.

Yes - several threads on this. RIM was having some sort of problem.
All our BES disconnected then too.

Oops, sorry, I searched but maybe didn't use the right keyphrases. I swear I know where the search button is! Upon examining my BB Router service logs I see that that there were multiple failed attempts to connect to 'srp.na.blackberry.net'.

Our BES in Toronto actually started having the problem at around 10:35 AM Eastern, about 3 hours prior to the rest of our North American servers.

Thanks for the reply, at least I know now that it wasnt something on our end.

Not a problem - unfortunately, RIM will not notify you of outages unless you are T-Support levels T4 or T5.

I did get an alert from T-Mobile, but it a few hours later.

Default same problem

I also had this problem, SRP disconnect, this morning around 7:40 am in MD. I ended up rebooting the server and it was working fine after that about an hour later. I called rim to ask their opinion on this and they said there wasn't a problem and itís connected now, so that didnít really help me much.

Yup, I experienced the same thing here too. I thought there was something wrong with our Internet connection because there was some work being done on the FW. Glad to see it wasn't us.
