In-house BES server 4.1 SP1 (v4.1.1.10) serving 8 BB7520 devices at
v.4.1.0.273. Mail environment = Exchange 2003 SP2.

On the BB7520 Messages Icon, it would be beneficial if the default view could be changed. Currently, all received email, sent email, and phone calls are logged in this view. This view can be changed to whatever Exchange folder you would like to view, such as the Inbox, but it does not "stick".

Wouldn't it be nice if the Messages default view could be changed to whichever folder you wish (and it sticks)? Any way to do this??

Some Background
The owner's wife claims that when we were on BES 3.6 and she filed messages from the main screen, then deleted the messages from her main screen, the messages remained in her files on the BB.

Now what is happening is when she files the messages on the BB, and deletes the messages from the main screen, they are gone for good. Seems like the desired behavior, hence my original question - how to change the Messages screen default view to something like "Inbox" instead of the hodgepodge of Inbox, Sent Items, incoming calls, outgoing calls, & etc. that it is currently defaulted to.

On the BlackBerry handheld, go to Messages > Options > General Setting. Change Hide Sent Messages and Hide Filed messages to YES. Hide sent is only an option only an option if the handheld is v4.1+. Hide filed is only an option if the handheld is v4.0+. This will make the Message ribbion look more link the inbox.
