Can BES 4.1 wirelessly sync multiple contact folders or just the main contact folder?

As far as I am aware you can only sync your main contacts folder. The BES is unable to sync multiple contacts folders or offline folders

It can do multiple contact folderes but they must be under the main contact folder within Outlook. They can not be under your inbox or the root folder only under the contacts folder. And they do sync but i find they are a little slower then the ones in the main folder.

It would be best if you did an Enterprise Activation that way all of the contacts will come down to the HH durning the slow sync process.

Agreed. Big bummer that contacts cannot be pulled from Exchange Public Folders for example. We had to dump those into the user's Outlook contacts for those contacts to be wirelessly replicated to the BB.

Huh, I must be the weird one. My problem was *too many* contacts.

Most of my contacts are vendors I only contact infrequequently and a few friends. Most of the contacts that I want are on my SIM.

I had a whole bunch of old contacts in subfolders (I *never* throw anything away, computer-wise) and all of these old contacts started showing up on my 8700 (I'm a BES newb). I had to drag these subfolders into my pst archive so as to not synch them.

Yeah, I know you can just start typing a name and pull it up, I just didn't want these obsolete contacts cluttering the place up.

We have an Executive Secretary who has access to several executives contact lists and we're about to get her a BB and I tested this out. It's like Ashworth said, any folders under the main Contact folder will sync. In our case, the ES can open other's contacts by File->Open->Other users folders and drop it as a sub folder on her contacts which will then sync on the BB. Also, if one of the execs changes the contact it will change in hers too.
