Anyone have a good way to troubleshoot when some of a users calendar entries don't show up on the device. on any given day some are there and some are not..
it was just built yesterday afternoon at 6pm, everything else is updated and working
Delete then undelete the Desktop [CICAL] service book. Or, delete the service book and resend them all from the BES server. Then give it 5 minutes and see if the calendar has the missing entries.
Here is the software:
Lotus Notes 6.5.5
BES 4.1.0.38
The Blackberry is a Cingular 8700c
it was just setup yesterday again after device changed, only way to resetup was to delete entry in the server and create new.
Some of the calendar entries don't show (1 day may have 4 entries in notes but only 3 show up). The blackberry itself is very slow to operate and he cannot download attachments. Also the cingular internet browser is missing.
The previous Cingular 8700c had a hardware defect, however that one was working fine no issues. I had originally set up that one in NY to start the only change was that we added about 400 additional address book entries about 2 or 3 weeks after initial setup, this time all were entered at once. For sure he has very little email <30 pieces, he has approx 500 address entries and i'd guess 200 calendar entries as each day he has min 4 entries. Most days nearly filled.
I am wondering if we need to reboot the device to fix the slowness, maybe there is a space issue causing the downloads not to work and maybe it could not install the cingular browswer due to lack of space. If that is the case maybe the calendar entries just don't fit.

hey john, check free space by going to Options>Status... also do a hard-rest i.e. take out battery and put back to power up... this will trigger the handheld to perform a java garbage cleanup and free up some space... if all else failed, try performing a wired sync of calendar using the Desktop Software's Intellisync and then switch back to wireless sync...
