Default Proxy exceptions BES 4.1

Please Login to Remove!

Is it possible to set exceptions to bypass the proxy for specified intranet doamins in BES 4.1?

Yes. You do this in the Connection Service properties under proxy > mappings.

They have changed the required syntax since 4.0 so you may have to mess around with the syntax a bit. Remember to restart the connection service each time you make a change.

Did anybody actualy use this feature? It would be great if anybody could post an example.

I haven't used this in 4.1 yet but for example a proxy exclusion for 4.0 for the domain mycompany.com would be:

.*://.*\.mycompany\.com.*

So if your intranet was intranet.mycompany you would use

.*://.*\.intranet.mycompany\.com.*

Now, if your intranet domain is something like intranet.local rather than intranet.mycompany.com I'm not sure if you would chnage the .com to .local or leave it as .com because that's what the syntax is wanting to see. However, you can add multilpe proxy exclusions so you just need to test it a bit.

As I said, this is slightly different in 4.1 but if you find you way to the correct tab in the 4.1 manager it will give you the syntax and help screen there.
