Default PIM Sync - Edit Field Mappings

Please Login to Remove!

I have been trying to find how to be able to pull over the Direct Connect to the blackberry from my Active Directory GAL. I have put all of my direct connect numbers in the "Pager" field in Active Directory, and I have gone into my BES and selected the "PIM Sync" tab and mapped the Pager field under "fields from 'Exchange'" to the DCID under "fields from 'handheld'". However, whenever I do a lookup from my Blackberry device the DCID still comes over in the pager field. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it? Is this the wrong way of going about this?

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brian

the Pim sync is used when performing a cradled sync with desktop manager. If you are performing a lookup the pager field will be displayed exactly how it is in AD.

And not all AD GAL fileds are available to the BES on a lookup. I'm sure there is a KB on blackberry.com about what fields are supported. Lack of support for other fields is a MS issue - the API doesn't get all the data you might want.
