BESAlert settings
 

I just setup the BESAlert and set event level to information just to see if i'll get any emails, however, haven't got any emails.

How do I check if I did something wrong on the settings or if there actually are no alerts to be sent?

This is how I got mine up and running.

Yeah I did take a look at that and that's how I have it setup..... only i have not received any emails all day... does it just use normal port to connect to smtp? I know for sure the smtp server works, and I mean there is nothing really to mess up. it basically only asks for the smtp server and the email address.... so I don't know why no messages. Having set the event level to information I would think I will get at least few messages if it is set up right...

take a look at the ALRT log... any particular error?

I figured it out... was missing < > before and after the email address.

but new problem is that I just get bunch of empty emails with no useful information:

Subject: BlackBerry Messaging Agent BES4 Agent 4

BlackBerry Messaging Agent BES4 Agent 4 (Application Event Log on BES2003):

That's all the body of the email contains....

If you are using BES 4.1.1 there is an SDR on that issue.

I can't find the SDR you mentioned on the blackberry website or in the release notes... is it possible for you to link it for me?

I had to call in to RIM Tech Support, and they said it was an SDR, I never got the number tho...

The SDR # is 91375.

There is no fix until 4.1.2 is released within the next few weeks.
