Default Blackberry move from 3.7 to 4.0

We are about to go live with Blackberry after our trial. Our trial devices were 7230 with 3.7 firmware. Our live devices are 7290 with 4.0 firmware.

Can we use the existing desktop (3.6.3.11) to get users migrated faster with the 7290s, or should we install new desktop software first.

We are still on BES 3 for the moment.

This is a BES Admin Corner question... Moving to BES Admin Corner.

Offhand, I think 3.6 would be fine for the short term; but you should deploy Desktop 4 as soon as you can.

Hmmm... I think we will install Desktop 4 anyway whilst we are visiting the users. Only 6 trialists so not a great impact.
