Default Is there a way to disable wired activation/sync?

Please Login to Remove!

BES 4.1/Exchange 2003.

Is it possible to disable wired activation/sync via desktop manager through IT-Policy? Is it the Desktop-Only Items --> Force Load Count value? But this is only if the desktop manager detects there is a new version installed on the desktop I would think...

We are trying to enforce the users to upgrade the software to the 4.0 or greater version.

Thanks,

Yes, there is a policy that restricts activating or switching devices via BDM. I don't now the name of the the particular policy off the top of my head.

Ok. Thanks. As long as I know it is there, I will search for it. Just wanted to make sure its possible before I click and go through every single option and search through the admin guide.

I might have been wrong. The policy rule I was think of is Desktop Allow Device Switch. This specifies whether the BDM allows users to switch handhelds. I am looking over all the policy rules to see if there is one that prevents wired activation all together.
