| BES in VM for Disaster Recovery Please Login to Remove! Hi,
I know RIM does not support it in a VM, but the advantages of running it in a VM are so great we want to consider using it for DR.
1. If we run it in a VM then the whole server is a single file.
2. If we copy the file to our DR site once a week.
3. If we have a disaster all we need to do is bring the VM online and change its IP Address and then we are back in business.
Does anybody see an issue with this plan?
Is changing the IP Address all we need to do?
We know we will lose any users that have been added since the last backup of the file.
Thanks,

PS: I know RIM is planning on supporting ESX sometime this fall. |
