Default Sql 2005 Jdbc

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Guys (and Gals) I was wondering if anyone here has moved their configuration database to SQL 2005. If so, how in the world do I install the JDBC for it? It's not very intuitive!

Thanks in advance!

I have. I didn't install it. I don't think the features it provides are necessary are they?

The JDBC is just a .dll, if I remember correctly all you have to do is tell the BES installation where to look for that .dll. There's no installation program.

There is a "default.htm" in the help folder that has the user guide for JDBC. Look for it in the unzipped JDBC files.

After doing the upgrade I can say that the JDBC which is just a Java .jar file was not needed in the least. The guy at T-Support didn't even know what to do with it. I'm now the happy administrator of a BES 4.1 server with a SQL 2005 (clustered) back-end. And you know what? I sleep better at night.

I'd just like to thank everyone here at the forums who answered my questions leading up to the upgrade.
