In 5 days, we are moving from a hosted BES to an internal one. We have rehearsed this and stumbled on issues with IT Policy. We seem to have managed to work this through, but not efficiently.

I'm wondering if someone has specific instructions regarding this procedure. We have a group of users who are not in the office and would prefer to have them do their piece wirelessly.

Our current host has enabled devices with 1 of 2 different IT Policies:
TPC with Phone
TPC without Phone

Should we have our host, push out a different policy that are new in-house server would have match for?

Any help here would be appreciated.

When you activate the device on the new BES it should over write the IT Policy with a new one. What steps did you take in your rehearsal? I would think it would be something along these lines...

1. Remove account from hosted BES.
2. Wipe Device.
3. Add account to internal BES.
4. Activate device on internal BES.

and the WIPE (what you have as STEP 2) is necessary for this to happen... If you don't do a security wipe, the hand held will reject the policy from the new BES..
