Unhappy Message blocked and refused by device

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

We have recently installed a BES Express and experiencing now the folowing problem :

we did the entreprise activation via cradle and everything was fine,
after that when the first user we add (for testing purpose) try to send an email, he get this message : "service blocked"
also, into the BB manager console on the server, the last reult message display "refused by device" and no message are forward to the handled.
we contact our network carrier that said the option activated on this SIM is the right one for BES.
somone have an idea of what the hell happens ?
by the way, the send message via PIN on the server doesnt work neither.

I'm getting a similar issue of trying to send a PIN message and getting "Packet returned as Refused - could not be delivered to device". This is a test bed system, so it (BES & BB) is on and off intermittantly. PIN mesasges wroked the last time I was working with the system. I had to wipe & reload the device to get my test apps to wrok today, and then re-provision and now it doesn't work. The BB browser isn't working, either, and that used to work, too.

Thanks for any ideas.

Contact your carrier once again. RIM is correct, your carrier is incorrect. Keep asking to be escalated until you get someone who agrees with RIM/you. Have them conference RIM support if they choose not to believe you.

I also had this problem with one user. I had him perform a master radio reset and re-register the device and it is now receiving messages. Didn't need to call RIM or Nextel.

edit: while zoug's profile says 7290, the post says "a user" therefore the user's device model and network type cannot be assumed.

iDen handhelds are the only ones with a master radio reset so this might not apply, I'd just do what was said above and keep harrassing your carrier, RIM should have given you a case number and you can use that as proof. All the carrier probably has to do is reprovision it.

And since Zougs profile indicates that they have a 7290, the Master Radio Reset does not apply....
