Red face Attention: BES SQL DB information / Crystal (BO XI)

Please Login to Remove!

I am administrating a BES 4.0 Server with around 300 clients that is hooked to Lotus Notes 6.5.

We are also using Crystal Reports and Enterprise (BO XI) and I have created already some very useful reports that combine information from the Public Address book, some Device information from a self created MS Access DB and also some SQL information from the BES Server.

Unfortunatelly I have to create some more reports but the information that I was able to find out myself from the SQL DB of the BES server is very limited.
I was not able to find any useful information neither from RIM nor any forum so far.
Is there anyone around who can provide one of the following information?

- Documentation of the SQL DB layout and field information from the BES Server.
- Links to such documentation
- Crystal Reports (rpt files) that I can use or use to find out some more info.

I can also provide some rpt files for those who are interested.

Thanks a lot

I'm not aware of a published database schema, but just poking around with a database browser reveals a lot of useful information. Why don't you try that?

This is exactly how almost any of us who have used the database found out the information we needed. Most useful information is located in the SyncDeviceMgmtSummary and UserStats tables.

Thanks for the quick replies.
Sure, I did play around with it but there are some fields I cannot get around.
I.e. 'UserStats.Status' is a number field.
The BB Mgr displays code 12 as 'Running'. So that info must somewhere be decoded. Would be good to know where. In a Table or within the Appl.
It would be good to know how many codes there could be and what they mean.
And there are some of these fields around.

Any answer to that.
