Default MDS installation problem

Please Login to Remove!

I dont have BES, I am just trying to install MDSS. However it gives an error everytime I try to reinstall.

in the log file it says:

Custom Action: net.rim.wica.ag.base.installer.DatabaseLoadAction
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - class net.rim.wica.ag.base.installer.DatabaseLoadAction. install() Unexpected Fatal Error:

Custom Action: net.rim.wica.ag.base.installer.TomcatUpdateConfigA ction
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - class net.rim.wica.ag.base.installer.TomcatUpdateConfigA ction.install() Unexpected Fatal Error:

for the sql part, there is an article that describes the error here:
h_t_t_p://www . blackberry . com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/8021/1067148/1067879/Support_-_BlackBerry_MDS_Services_installation_fails.html?n odeid=1201433&vernum=0
(fix the link before trying)

however, our sql server runs on 1433 and I can connect to it using telnet.
I am using "sa" user for installation.
Server is running on SQL2000 with sp4.

How could I resolve this problem?

thx for help

How do you expect that to work? MDSS without BES?
