Default 4.1 - Setting up Role based Admins

Please Login to Remove!

I am not having any luck setting this up.

Some questions:

When you enter the user name - I assume this is the domain account, but why would I know the password? Is this password one I set or is the user name and password not tied to AD at all?

I put my normal AD id into the junior help desk role but when I remote into the BES and run Enterprise Manager I have the ability to edit all kinds of field I wouldn't want the help desk to have the ability too?

What am I missing??

You should try to enter the user name fully qualified:

Or do it directly in the SQL Server Enterprise Manager - its the same result.

You can also use AD Groups, so can you can easily handle the access later on by only modifying the AD Groups.
