Unhappy remote BB manager

Please Login to Remove!

I prepare to install BB mgr remotely on a PC. I prepared a :-
-WINXP professional w/ SP2
-outlook2003 with a proper MAPI profile
-...etc

I encounter problem in registering "cdo.dll". Installing ESM is not a preferred way.

#1. There is no directory like c:\Program Files\exchsrvr\bin, where should I plance cdo.dll ?

#2. I put the cdo.dll everywhere I know e.g. c:\windows\system32... create a dir "c:\Program Files\exchsrvr\bin"
when I type "regsrvr32 cdo.dll", error prompts "LoadLibrary ("cdo.dll") failed-The specified module could not be found"
- overcame it via Add/Remove program of Outlook.

#3. I can load the cdo.dll but but when I install BB Mgr, it still shows "Warning: Unable to load CDO.DLL".

#4. even worse, the new BB manager cannot connect to the remote BESMgmt DB ? I am using MSDE & Windows (trusted) authentication in my BES & I have update the setup.ini b.f. BES installation.
But I don't know what is the meaning for "SAPWD" when windows (trusted) authentication is used.

update : I managed to setup the connection to MSDE after enable its TCP/IP using "SQL Server Network Utility" - SVRNETCN.exe

Anyone can help... Thank you for your prompt response.

i had that same problem however you should have the c:\Program Files\exchsrvr\bin if you have exchnage admin tools installed but problem persisted for me still what it was is it didnt register the mapi profiles when loaded it was going to manually configue profile and then failed.

make sure you have proper mapi blackberry profile first before running the besmngmt install i also copied the dll of the bes server as i had the folder but no cod.dll and used regsrv32 to register it but still got the cod error .. at the end it worked ... question: are you able to install with cod error present and when lauching does it load and ask to manualy configure profile ??

You'll want to download the Admin Guide for the appropriate version you're running.

It'll give you step by step instructions for installing a remote BB Mgr.
