Default BB email deleted from Exchange? - 10-06-2006, 05:48 PM

I was at a site today, and the MIS Manager was asking about email on my BlackBerry. Something I havent' heard of, but he was told that if the BB is set to "Keep Messages" for 30 days (General Options in Email), that once an email is 31 days old, it is removed from the BB, AND from the email server, which would be Exchange or Lotus Notes (Notes in his case), etc.

Anybody know anything or heard anything about this?

Perhaps whomever said it meant to say that when they "roll off" the BB, they "roll off" the BES, but not the actual email server...? If they leave everything, that would be a bad thing. A very bad thing.

It only is removed from the device. Also when you do a delete prior it only is deleted from the device even if delete on mailbox & handheld is selected
