Default CDO.DLL and MAPI32.DLL - 10-09-2006, 09:37 AM

Hello,

I have a calander sync issue that i think requires me to upgrade my CDO.dll and mapi32.dll. what is the best way to do this.

1. just copy the files and re-boot.

2. install exchange sp2 onto the server.

Thanks

Alex.

all the service packs that you have applied to exchange apply to the bes server. If you do any Post sp2 service packs to exchange also perform these on the bes server at the same time.

In addition to mattlane's info, you may want to take a look at..
blackberry dot com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/How_To_-_Obtain_and_apply_the_cdo.dll_file?func=doc.Fetch& nodeId=640999&docTitle=How+To+%2D+Obtain+and+apply +the+cdo%2Edll+file&vernum=17

If you have users now who have entered calendar items on their blackberry's and they didn't make it into outlook because of the cdo.dll issue, you can try having them disable and then re-enable wireless calendar synch. You will get a warning that some entries could be deleted. It worked for me to get handhelds synched back up to outlook, but make sure you test it first.
