Default Remote Attachment Service Disconnect FYI (Domino) - 10-09-2006, 11:02 AM

We are running a remote attachment service (Domino environment), and I just discovered that you cannot restart it and have the BES server(s) reconnect automatically. RIM's docs say that you should be able to just cycle the Dispatcher service, however that did not work for me.

If you restart the Attachment service, you need to "tell bes quit" and "load bes" for each Domino BES in order for them to make a new connection ID to the remote attachment service.

This has caused issues where attachments were not decoded until the BES was rebooted, so I thought I would share the info.
