Default Multiple Servers in One Management Console - 10-09-2006, 10:29 PM

Please forgive me if this is a pretty simple question, but I'm still learning here...

We've been running BES for Exchange off of a single server for a while but it recently became necessary to add two more servers to handle our growing number of users. So, now we have 3 separate servers that we have to individually manage. Is it possible to view/manage all three of the servers from within one instance of Blackberry Manager instead of having to login to each one separately to add/remove users and such? We're currently running version 4.1.2. Thanks for your help.

Yes, each of the three servers has its own database.

Just went through the same issue.... No, unfortunately is the answer. Also, Blackberry pin lookups do not work between the 3 seperate servers.

Luckily I wasn't very far along in our migration so I installed Microsoft SQL on one server and have two others servers running Blackberry 4.1 pointing to it. Supposedly this configuration supports far more users than using the built in databases, also.

you could have done if ther were all using the same configuration database. if you had version 4 then you coulf have performed some trickary to get it working. If you've just install them or have very few user let us know and there might be a way round it. will involve new users having to re-activate on those server however you have the added functionality of DR by a drag and drop of the user if one of the servers goes down
