okay, I looked and couldn't find anything.

I am having problems. My bes account is on a 2003 exchange box, but my users are still on a 5.5 exchange box, everything is fine except the GAL. I have started to receive inconsistent views of the GAL, in fact some mailboxes are missing from the GAL that the BESaccount see's, but I know the accounts exist. first I thought it was permissions thing, and after running IEMStest, I get

Display GAL Failed <80040113>

I am unable to find anything on this. can anyone help on this? I will have to go and do some re reading on the GAL and stuff, but I believe the copy of the GAL that the BES account sees is not correct? anyone agree?

Does your bes account have a mailbox in the 5.5 environment?
I installed a few BES servers in an enivornment with some users on 5.5 exchange box and other users on a 2003 box. The bes account was first setup in exchange 2003 and later we gave the account a mailbox in 5.5 with all the appropiate rights. I could see the complete GAL depending on which MAPI profile i used.

thanks for the reply, but its just the opposite. besaccount is on 2003 exch and all the mailboxes are on 5.5. There are tons of issues now, including the GAL issue. They won't let me touch it anymore, so I dont know what's going on now...I know the message queue backed today and then the BES lost the mapi connection, its a mess.

Sounds like your BESAdmin doesn't have permission to access the users on the 5.5 machine.
