Check on the device to make sure you have recomciliation set up correctly.

Go in to Messages
Click the wheel (or ball) and go in to Options
Go in to Email Reconciliation and set up as follows:

Delete On: Mailbox and Handheld

I have the same issue. I tried the solution posted but it made no difference. The email is still marked as unread on the BB even when marked as read in MS Outlook. It just doesn't seem to sync.

Any other ideas?

Are these problems across all devices on the BES or just a selected one or two?

Try this:

In the message application options turn the 'Wireless Reconcilaition' to No.

Wait five minutes and make a few changes to emails on the device.

Change 'Wireless reconciliation' back to Yes and test.
