Question Users with high number of pending messages - 10-19-2006, 12:12 PM

Hi all,

we're running BES v4.0.3.15 for GroupWise and I noticed that about 4-5 users (always the same ones) always have a high number (about 100 - 200) of pending messages showing. Even after purging, it takes a few minutes and the number keeps going up....

Anyone has experience the same problem? Is there a way to "fix" that?

Thanks

Yeah, tell the user to turn on the BlackBerry. We have that are assigned BlackBerry but they don't use it so the mail gets piled up. Eventually the message will get expired and purge usually 7 days later.

Thanks! Is there a way to force the pending message to expire after a specific time?

2x4 in the back of the head, Then take their BlackBerry.

You can purge pending for the user to get rid of the backlog.

Tell them to keep their Blackberry on or to make sure their in a good coverage area. Though, I Do like the 2 x 4 option

Is there NOT an option either on the BB unit or in BBDM that will allow for setting aged messages to purge? Wondering if this is the same as pending messages that the BES sees, and not yet on the HH?! Thanks.

In Exchange you can purge pending messages from the Desktop Redirector

We have BB 4.0 with Exchange 2003. I see a lot of users having 100-200 Pending messages. It won't clear itself even I click 'Purge Pending' from the User Stat. Is there any other way I could clear these? or any command line utility in BB Resource Kit??

Thanks,
Sameer
