Default How to remove previous owners' security policies? - 10-23-2006, 04:26 PM

I bought a used BB 7250 and I cannot activate it on my company's BES. I get an error stating that the activation is rejected due to a security policy. My BES admin tells me that the device has to be re-activated on its previous BES, then switched to a security policy that will allow it to be activated on a different BES. Is this really true? Isn't there some way I can wipe out all the preivous security policies (wipe handheld doesn't seem to do it)?

I followed the directions, but when I launch the Desktop Manager I get an error: "An error occurred while processing the policy file. Please contact your admnistrator for assistance."

you could be hooped... i had this very same issue a while back, and there was no resolution other than reconnecting to the BES the policies were added through and romoving them.

Cheers,
