Default Adding BBs over your CAL limit?

Please Login to Remove!

If you use up all your CALs are you able to keep adding new BBs and then just true-up at the end of the year? Does anyone know?

This is an offer by RIM that you can sign up for. But doesn't work otherwise.

I was told that you can keep adding users pass your CAL limit. The server keeps nagging you about it but will function normally.

You can, but don't get audited. Needless to say, it's against the licensing agreement, as well.

Next time you upgrade BES, it will ask for a CAL. If you don't have one, you will be stuck. You'll probably have to restore from backup.

Been there...done that. I've learned from experience. You CAN add them, BUT all of your Blackberry Services will S-L-O-W-L-Y stop (one at a time). We kept going over our limit...get the notifications and by the 2nd day employees were calling to complain that there was a huge lag time in getting their emails. Rebooting would temporarily resolve it...but why bother.

Just as an update with BES version 4.0 SP6 It will not allow you to add users over your limit.
