Default Handheld Manager / Desktop Manager 4.0

Hi all,

I recently installed our first BES. (V4). It is working perfectly for the 5 BB 7290's we bought with it. However, we are doing everything wirelessly. I have installed no Desktop software on users PC's at all and the cradles are all still boxed. Can someone explain what we are missing out on? Is it just full handheld backup and software installs? I am just worried that a lot of people on the forum seem to have problems when using both wireless and also the cradles with DM4. With encryption keys etc.

Is it wise to install DM4 or just stay wireless? I'm also confused over handheld manager and desktop manager. Do you need to install both? Am I correct the DM comes with the BB and HM with the BES?

Many thanks
Steve

We really have no problems with both wireless and DM installed. The only reason we install DM, is that we don't have reception on TMO devices inside the building. This way users can plug their devices into DM and still have emails update while inside.
