Default Can one BES be served by two different phone carriers?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

My company has a BES which is connected to phone service provider A, however, one of my user does not have coverage with provider A, and have coverage with provider B. We are planning to get the user a BlackBerry through provider B, is it feasible for the handheld to talk to our BES, even though it is going through a different phone company?

Thanks.

I am not a BES admin but I do know that our corporate BES has TMobile users, Cingular users and, Nextel users. I haven't been told of any restrictions on providers when I ask about adding someone new. There may be more to that than I know about, however.

BES does not care about the networks upon which the devices run, you can mix and match as much as you want.

Hey guys,

I always memorize these rules:
.... BES -> Multiple ... BES supports carriers, mail servers, users
.... Device -> Single... Device supports 1 carrier, 1 user

Above is for BES only, exclude BlackBerry Internet Service account.
