Hi all. Before I start, Ill say I scoured the site and it seems that many people have the same problem, but none of the fixes worked for me.

I have BES 4.0.1 against exchange and it has been working great forever now. Recently we went to AD and it all seemed to keep working. However this weekend our exchange server lost power and things broke.

Email/exchange is working fine for everyone so thats good. However bberry stopped working for everyone. on BES, I tried to delete the user and it said it couldnt contact the mailbox, but does actually delete it from the list. When I try to add them again, it says it cant because the mailbox was moved or deleted. Yet when Im selecting the user to add it finds them (??).

I ran iemstest agasint the user and it completed successfully so I dont think its a permissions issue.

I ran dbcleanup on the BES server to no avail, it said "nothing to do". Do I need to run it on the exchange server? Will it f*k up anything on the exchange server? (my job would be at stake if it did)

Any tips appreciated!

Moved to the "BES Admin Corner" section.

Good luck.

I would guess that it's an issue with the level of permissions that your BESAdmin account has in Exchange. It would seem likely that the roles may have changed slightly during the AD upgrade. I'm not positive on this, but it would be the first place I'd look.

i hope you didnt run dbclean on the BES because if you did all your users are going to have to re-activate, dbclean has to be run agianst the affected users mailbox and if run on the BES it deletes all the users blackberry information in their mailbox's
