Angry Stumped! Blackberry 4.1.2 & Live Comms Server / Office Communicator

Please Login to Remove!

Hope someone can help - I've been days on this and don't seem to be getting anywhere fast!

I've just upgraded to bes 4.1 for the very purpose of integrating with LCS. We are Using solely office communicator clients on our desktops so this seemed to be the logical choice to select when upgrading BES.

I've Configured BES, Configured Communicator Web Access, Followed the microsoft deployment guide relating to installing ajax.dll.

My IM logs show incorrect login, My IIS Logs show http 401 errors and my BB Shows Server Error 302 when i try to login.

Can't find any meaningful doc's anywhere on the net regarding this and nobody want to seem to touch on any kind of support for ajax.

Greatful for any help!

Did you have OCWA installed prior to the BES installation? If not, and your statement concerning the Communicator desktop client usage holds true, then go back and install support for Windows Messenger (yes, it seems backwards). It's fairly easy to configure. On the device client-side, you should use the following:

Sign-in name: email/sip address
User name: DOMAIN\username (or [email address])
Password: <password>

RIM suggests using the SIP address only, although I've yet to get that to work. In my environment, I've been able to use US\username and [email address] for the user name field. In another installation (a friend's), I had to use the latter - [email address].

Usage over TCP is extremely unstable and you'll notice fairly frequent disconnects, buddy list reloads, etc. I'd highly suggest TLS if you have it configured.
