I'm running BES 18.104.22.168 with 40 odd users. I have an issue where all clients with 8700 devices are unable to browse via the blackberry browser. The 4 or so 7290 devices can browse fine. The 8700 devices can access the odd site (maybe 5 in total), but if they try to get to any other sites (e.g. google, they receive the following error:
Proxy Encountered an Error
Error Receiving Data:
Error receiving data from remote server.
Possible causes include remote server error and
Transient network problem.
When I go into the BES, MDS Services Tab, I am unable to click on the "Edit Properties" button - I can click it, but Nothing happens. the "Status:" on this tab is blank.
The fact that they can get to some sites and the 7290 devices are working fine suggests the server is OK and proxy settings are OK. Am I meant to be able to click on the "edit properties" link on the MDS Services tab?
I'm pretty new to BES so I'm not sure what else to look for, so any suggestions/pointers would be greatly appreciated.
One thing I have noticed... If I go into Edit Properties on the Server configuration tab and then select MDS Services, I have the following:
Blackberry MDS Services Server URL = blank
MDS Connection Service Server URL = myserver:8080
Should this first entry be blank? If I click on it, I can select "myserver:7080/mds" but I'm unsure if I need to do this or what it's for?
Appreciate any advice you could give me.
