I checked the event log and find the error such as " xx user can't start" or " xxx user initilize failed" . I went though the server status/SRP status on the new server , they were running and connected. And all the services on the new server were started
Any idea of why ? My exchange server is 2000. Do I need to call ISP to activate the SRP for the new server ?
Thanks a lot.
First, make sure that your BES is connecting to the NOC. To do this, load up the BES Server Config Tool, and hit "Test SRP Connection".
Next, look at the user, and make sure you have proper permissions to touch that user. Are you using the same BES Admin account on this second server?
I have also noticed that if i remove someone from my 4.0 server and add them to my 4.1 "to fast", their data isnt removed from 4.0 and during the initialization the 4.1 just drops em. At this point, i normally remove from 4.1, wait 5-10 minutes, then add back. This happens 1-2 times a week. There normally is an event log listed when this happens.
When you added your first user, you should have gotten a bunch of messages (if you have your BES Alert set up) that told you it was starting mailbox agent 1, blah blah blah. Make sure you got those messages and there were no errors.
Hope this helps...
