Default ECL = needs web server??

Please Login to Remove!

I successfully pushed out an ECL via BES for a test handheld but later on during the day i noticed I was getting http 404 errors when looking at it. Does this mean the list is NOT stored locally on the handheld? This is bad since I was hoping this would work for Disaster Recovery purposes in an event our company goes up in flames (along with the machine with IIS hosting this file).

EDIT:

I did it using the Java version using instructions from this: BlackBerry Connection - IT Edition - October 2006

I am using the Lotus Notes version and it works really well, if you push to the client (that needs to be installed on the BB) instead of the browser it will store it on the handheld, I had the same concearns. I pushed out the client wirelessly so we didn't have to use the DM to install.

Thanks for the reply. I see the new icon as well on the BB handheld, but from all indications it looks like the list has to perform a lookup on whichever machine pushed the update out (http 404 errors).

Were you getting this?

I am trying to get the ECL catcher app to install OTA, and you said you had done this sucessfully.
Did you have any problem getting it to initally show up in the Applications Software list in the software configuration?
