Default Enterprise 4.0 and users syncing at Home, advice/soltuions?

Please Login to Remove!

Ok will explain this best I can.

Once our users go full 4.0 wireless here at the office we no longer have the desktop manager etc on their machines so no problem. If they put it back or if they put it on their machine at home and do a sync it "appears" that it changes the encryption on the device. At this time the user can send messages but receivies nothing from us nor does any of the reconcile work until he regenerates the encryption or we resend service books etc to the device.

I can see why they would want to sync at home, hell I'd probably do it to if it didn't disable the device.

Anyone else seen this or know a good way to resolve it? The desktop manager should have an option when installing to just sync contact / calendar and not select a redirector, seems if you select a redirector of any sort it will want to regenerate encryption.

Any advice is appreciated,

Shawn

When you install the desktop software, it gives you an option to sync using the BES or the desktop redirector.

Yep, however, either way you do it it will create a new encryption key.
