I've just getting these event messages every five minutes in our Blackberry Enterprise Server:

- Event 10221: GetMDSStats: COM exception.
- Event 10226: COM Error 0x4AE290 - Error converting data type varchar to datetime- IDispatch error #3079
- Event 10224: Database error (err=-2147217913, native err=8114) - Error converting data type varchar to datetime

I have three handled that we can't connect to and sometimes the email syncro doesn't work too!!!

I am getting the same errors. I am running Exchange 2003, BES 4.0. Last Friday I loaded Sp 1 (w/HF 1&2) (we were trying to fix the calendar problem, BB to desktop sync) however I started getting a lot of errors. Soooooo, we uninstalled BES (very painful), then tried to reinstall it. The MDS isn't working now (continous error), however, email is functioning properly. I tried to reinstall Bes 4.0 Sp1, but it failed. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for piggy-backing on your thread....but it sounds like we are having the same issue....

I get the same error since upgraded from BES3.6 to BES4.0

My config
BES 4.0
Domino 6.5.4FP1 French language
Windows2033 Server Std French

Error in domino log
SQLGetMDSStats : COM Error 0x80040E07 - Source : 'Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server' - Description 'Erreur de conversion du type de donnees varchar en datetime.' - Command 'GestMDSStats'


thought it could be a leaving part of Notes for SQL that was used in V3.6 but not needed in V4.0 ???
