Default BES backups...What is everyone doing?

Please Login to Remove!

I have just recently installed BES on a dedicated server (server#1). We are using Exchange 2003 (server#2) and SQL2000 (server#3). The SQL server is doing a backup to tape every night. Do I need to back up the entire BES server every night also? Suggestions?

No need to backup entire BES server. All BES configuration store in SQL database.

We use Acronis True image.

This not only give us a backup of the BES settings but makes an image of the whole HD, enabling us to rebuild the BES should anything fatal happen in under 30mins.

The images of all our servers are saved onto a large network storage device (Buffalo Terrastation) which is turn is also backed up both on and offsite using the built in software.

Great tool. Have a look at (sorry cant post 'live link')
