Default Trying to deploy DTS v2.2 but getting v1.5 depoyed?? - 02-28-2007, 08:54 PM

Does this make sense to anyone?

As of yesterday, I had a 2007DST software configuration policy configured with the DST v.1.5 patch. I had deployed it to 5 of 85 users. For the most part, the patches deployed fine.

Last night I replaced the files with the v2.2 version files. I then deleted the pkgDBCache.xml and specfication.pkg files. I rerean loader /index

Within an hour, the updated patch was deployed to the 5 users that had the software configuration applied to them. Wasn't planning to this, but it was fine. The version deployed was clearly the new patchmanager because the popup message was different.

Today, I deployed the exact same software configuration to the remaining 80 users. Well to my surprise, they received the v1.5 patchmanager! I think this because the popup was the old popup message.

However, when I went into the configuration of the software configuration it said 2.2. When I ran the 2007DSTQuery tool, it said that version 2.2 was installed. I don't get it!!! What happened? Why did the old popup come up?

Mine did something very similar. I did it with 800+ however.

I am battling 400 that won't download the patch unless they manually click the download menu choice under the dst 2007 patch item

I have checked one of these users that was in the second group, which receieved the old popup. The version for timezoneOTApatcher states 2.2 on his handheld.
