Can send email all day but can't receive from outside the domain
Sorry, but couldn't find this in the archives.
I have a user that is able to send email from the BlackBerry; however, he can only receive email from accounts inside the corporate domain. For example, say our domain is company.com. An email from will go to the BlackBerry, but an email from will not. He does get the message in his Outlook mailbox.
we have done everything we can think of. resent service books, encryption keys, moved from one BES to another. Deleted the account from BES and purged it then re-added it to the BES and reactivated. Tried a new device, new SIM Card, you name it. Checked Exchange and look alright there, too.
any ideas, anyone?
Running BES ver 4.1 sp3 and 22.214.171.1249 on a 7290.
have you double checked that there are no filters set in the BES or on the device?
did this happen from first putting this user on BES or is it a new problem for an old user?
it's a new problem for an old user. But we did clear the filters on the old activation, then deleted the user from the BES, selecting not to save the settings and purged the user. Then we added him just like a new user and reactivated. we also checked that there were no rules in Outlook that may be moving messages before they can be redirected.
kinda crazy, huh?
