Both: add user and find user give those errors.
I have these versions running:

On a Lotus Domino Server Version: 6.0

If already contacted RIM about this but, they don't have a good solution.
A option was:

Summary of Causes
The issue is caused by one of the following:

The IBM Lotus Notes® client or IBM Lotus Domino messaging and collaboration server is not installed.
BlackBerry Manager cannot locate an installation of Lotus Notes on the computer.

Cause 1
The Lotus Notes client or IBM Lotus Domino messaging server is not installed on the computer hosting BlackBerry Manager.

Resolution
Install Lotus Notes or IBM Lotus Domino server software.

Cause 2
BlackBerry Manager cannot locate the installation of Lotus Notes on the computer.

Resolution
Complete the following steps:

Identify the location of the Lotus Notes installation.
In Control Panel, open System and click the Advanced tab.
Click Environment Variables.
Add the installation path identified in step 1 to the Path variable in the list of System Environment Variables.
For example, add C:\Program Files\Lotus\Notes to the Path variable.

But that wasn't solving anything. :(
The only problem is: I can't add new users and i need to, the rest is working correctly.
Does somebody have a alternative to add users, or maybe a (paid) sollution.

Take a look at the BlackBerry Manager's log around the time when this happened. The log will have some clues to what actually happen.

When you add a user, BES is basically going to 2 places to retrieve and save the user's data - Domino server & SQL server (or MSDE instance). The word "MailStore DLL" gives a good hint that the issue may be something to do with Domino.

On the Domino side, make sure:-
(*) No Notes client installed on your BES - RIM do not recommend!!!
(1) There is only ONE and only ONE Notes.INI
(2) Verify that the registry entries for "Path" and "DataPath" are correct
(3) Notes.ini has the setting (without the filepath)
-> ServerKeyFileName = server.id
-> KeyFileName = server.id

RIM's BES and BB Manager is pretty stupid when it comes to getting Notes INI information. My guess is the apps are hard coded - simply no AI built in.

Good luck!

We had the same issues when we tried to let our local BlackBerry support staff manage the Blackberries through Terminal Server.
We got the same issues when the users that are trying to add users from within BlackBerry Manager, were not a member of the local Adminstrators group.

After some troubleshooting, I found out that they need the SeCreateGlobalPrivilege rights because, when they startup the BlackBerry Manager for the first time it tries to create the "Mail" namespace in the Windows Control Panel. Check if you and your users can see the Mail namespace in the Control Panel.

Since we didn't want to put these users in the Local Administrators, we have created a GPO to grant the BlackBerry Admins automatically the Create Global Objects rights for the Terminal Servers.

Hope this helps!

Default A follow-up

Just want to follow up to highlight what I've experienced just recently which I also have the error This function is unavailable because the Mailstore Adaptor DLL has failed to initialize. when I was trying to add a new user in the BlackBerry Manager directly on the BES computer.

What happened is that one of my contractor admin guy has enabled the Domino console security for BES without my knowledge. After many tries, it was found that you need to toggle off the console security and then reload BlackBerry Manager. It appears that BlackBerry Manager is not equipped with the ability to established a Notes session.

From the MNGR log, I am seeing:-

[10000] (04/10 11:35:02):{0x164C} [DominoAdaptorDLL::Initialize] Failed to initialize Notes Session.
[20000] (04/10 11:35:02):{0x164C} Mailstore Connector failed to initialize; some functions may not be available.

Steps I have taken:-

1. Type "Set Secure <password>",
2. Type "tell bes about" to make sure you can see the version,
3. Close BlackBerry Manager,
4. Reopen BlackBerry Manager,
5. You should be able to add user again!

Hope this information is helpful.
