Hi all,

We have BES 4, from my outlook I tried to send a wav file around 80kb to myself. But when I recieved the email I could not open the attachment, meaning there is no option to view attachment. Is there a way the to recieve multimedia? BTW I'm using 8705g Thanks!

When you say BES 4, do you mean 4.0 or 4.1? I don't have any 8700's in my environment yet and I am on 4.1 - so no experience with this, but I had seen somewhere else that on BES 4.0 you have to enable the .wav file type for attachments. It is set by default to do .wav on my 4.1

It a 4.0 to be specific. I already enable the wav format. The attachment is showing now. But when I open it,it says "Unrecognized document format". How do you deal with that?

that sounds like a handheld software issue. I did a bit of searching because I noticed that you are using an 8705g. As far as I know, the 8700's don't support .wav format. There seemed to be some suggestions by others on the net that there were handheld software upgrades for some version of the 8700 to allow for .wav support. you will have to ask your provider I would think.
