Exclamation T-Mobile Major Outage - 04-17-2007, 09:12 PM

All 3 of my BES servers are having delivery issues, i.e. nothing is getting through. Looks like T-Mobile is experiencing a major outage right now. 8:11 PM CST 4/17/2007. Anybody else feeling this yet?

EDIT: Apparently all networks are affected as it is a RIM issue. We do have other carriers and not ONE message out of 1800 devices is going through.

Its not t-mobile, its rim

we have 2600 devices and not 1 is t-mobile

all of our servers went to SRP disconnected at 8:20pm EDT, reconnected at 9:10p - still on hold w/ t-support - and waiting for more info from 1 blackberry rep i did get by email.

so far no message flow to devices at all. regardless of carrier

we beleive its a RIM network issue

I can confirm that our BB's in SF, CA is down on Cingular.

Does anyone know if we need to restart BES or other services or will this just go back online?

Surprised this isn't getting more press coverage?

yes i got thru, both on the phone - they have no info other to confirm an outage. also our account rep has been in contact via email and he confirms they are having relay problems. not rumor, just an outage.

Actually, the quoted 2 hour number is their standard answer. It can stay at 2 hours for a lot longer!

Just spoke with TMO Advanced Support, they're aware of the issues by now obviously. No ETR/ETA. This is affecting ALL blackberries, ALL providers.

He said that something is wrong with the data network. Which makes sense considering I can't even pull up a webpage on it.

There is currently a RIM outage outage in North America. There is no current ETA on this.

I have exactly 10 "returned DELIVERED" 's in the last 30 minutes (out of ~1800 total). All devices in DC or NY area. Strange. Oh well, guess this is going to be a long night...

its only affecting north america not anywhere else , so if your CEO is in finland and not working its not related to this issue.

i dont think the BES is the issue because my pending count keeps going up i think its just the handhelds not connecting to rims network. my srp is connected fine just the handhelds not responding

i disagree - if your BES is pointing to the north american relay you may have issues. We have a handful of vodafone australia users who i thought were up and running, but now are reporting they are not getting any messages. They are in Australia, but the BES is in USA.

I managed to login to Cingular's BIS webfront. It let me send service books, but I haven't received them.
