Arrow Strange Cal Sync Issue

Please Login to Remove!

We are having an issue with one of our BES users performing wireless calendar sync's.

The users default Calendar folder in Outlook was somehow renamed as "Calendar1" and wireless calendar sync wasn't working at all.

We reset the Calendar folder back to default using the outlook switch /resetfolders. After the naming reset, it will now download the cal information upon wireless ea and if I reset the Desktop [Sync] service book, however it'll only sync one way from Outlook to Bberry.

I've already tried reloading and deleting the user from BES and wiping his handheld.

Is there a place where the default calendar folder is stored per user?

I'm stumped. The user is temporarily using cable sync. I'm going to reenable and look through the logs.

Any help is appreciated.

Notes:

BES 4.1.3, 154 users
Exchange 2003, SP2
Cdo and Mapi match on both boxes
Permissions look fine, no other users having issues
Users Blackberry: Cingular 8800

try setting the user to wireless sync and deleting the Desktop [CICAL] Service book. Wait a few minutes, push the wheel in and chosse undelete (it will come back), that will force a calendar update. Check then to see if the calendar is synching.

Thanks for the help Alan but that didn't work. I've done the same thing with the SYNC sb as well.

It's only working Outlook --> Bberry

Any other ideas?

I've tracked it down in the MAGT log to:

double check permissions on the users account for the besadmin. (wonder if they were modified by the reset folder options).

Drawing a blank beyond that.

Underneath security for the user in A/D users and computers I have:

BES Admin (Send As) This object only

This is the same for all other users but I'm going to remove and readd that permission as well as maybe copy over the cdo.dll from exchange and re-register on BES.

(I can't believe I'd need to do this for just one user though)

Thanks for your input.
