Default Logs in root of C: drive

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all. Just been looking at my BES v4 (Exchange) server. In the root of my C drive I have loads of folders names by date, ie 20050505, 20050504, 20050503 and each one has a file names something like

BES1_MDAT_01_20050403_0001.txt etc

I think they could be logs for the MDS. Does anyone know where I can set the path to make these get logged somewhere else, anywhere but the root of C!

You can set where your log files are by going to Start/Programs/Blackberry Enterprise Server/Blackberry Server Configuration. In there is a logging tab and you can point your logs anwhere you want.

Just hd a look, its set to C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs\

There are folders and logs there too, but the MDAT log is off the root. I can't see that even listed on the logging page there...Must be either hidden elsewhere or a bug!

Wierd. I have two BES and niether have logs in the root of C. You may want to search your registry to see if there is something in there you can change. That is how I changed log settings during 4.0 beta because they didn't give us the option in the GUI to change them during BETA.
