Default BES Install: Invalid SMTP Port

Please Login to Remove!

I'm installing the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (4.1.3 for exchange) and am having difficulties getting past the WLAN OTA Activation step.

I have ticked 'Permit wireless activation in your WLAN environment', and set the radio button to be 'Explicitly provide SMTP server name and port'.

I enter all the valid details (server name=our smtp server, server port=25, login=***, password=***, etc), but when I click next I get an error 'Invalid SMTP Port. Please enter an integer value between 1024 and 65535'.

Due to our DNS and email setup, it is not possible to enable 'Use MX Lookup to obtain SMTP server'.

I find this a very strange error considering that SMTP normally runs on port 25. Has anyone else experienced this problem/found a workaround? Or it is just an oversight in the installation setup on my behalf and a simply solution?

Installed the BES without this enabled and OTA activations still work, go figure...

Isn't that page only relevant to the old WLAN-only 7270?

I guess that it may become more relevant in the future if some of the rumours are to be believed...
