Default Installation Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Just downloaded and am trying to install the latest BES onto my hardrive, however when i go to enter the windows password it simply says "enter valid password" even though the password and log in are correct.

Does anyone have many ideas?

Edd

I have the same issue.

I'm trying to install BES Express 4.14, i choose the setup type "BES with MDS Service", after a few "I accept license" screens, I get the "Installation Info" window. at the very top, it says "Microsoft Windows Login Information", the user name is preset in there, and yes, it has admin previlages, but when i type in the the password it says "Please enter a valid password."

what the heck am I doing wrong?

You're not entering the password correctly.

You're installing BES as your own user account? Have you read through the Installation Guide?

It should be a separate, new user account generally called BESAdmin (or the like) and it needs local admin privileges.

what problem is that? Perhaps start a new thread to fully describe your mail / bes environment and explain what exactly is happening.

Yes as per above, give full information.

Does your account local admin permissions to even perform such?

One querky thing though, rejoin to your domain, reboot, logon and try again.

Other than that, provide more information.
