I faced the following problem:
One of our users cannot activate his handheld. the activation process timed out even if he tries to activate it wirelessly or through the desktop software.
The activation email is arriving into the user's mailbox, but after that BES couldn't pick it up. The access rights are correct and there is no error message on the Notes console.
I have tried to re-create the user a few times and deleted the state file, but it did not work. I have also tried to restart the server and run the BES SQL jobs manually, which also did not help.
Once I could reach 84% with the activation but it stucked for hours, so I decided to interrupt it. Now the situation is the same: BES cannot pick out the activation email, so activation is not starting at all.
I have tried to extend the physical memory from 2GB to 3,5GB. We got around 350 users.
I found some error log in the application events, which I think may cause this problem:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: BlackBerry Messaging Agent <server name>
Event Category: None
Event ID: 50094
Date: 2007. 05. 30.

The description for Event ID ( 50094 ) in Source
( BlackBerry Messaging Agent <server name>) cannot be found.
The local computer may not have the necessary registry information
or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer.
You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description;
see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event:
[AUDIT] <User name/Country/Office/OU - User added to the BES.
One more additional information: When I try to delete this user it stucks under pending and stays there very long.
It cannot delete the state file of it, I have to do that manually always...
