Upgrading a users 7230 to 7290 by moving his sim card to the 7290.
If I connect the 7290 to our BES Domino server should I be able to assign the device to the same user who already has a device assigned. Not sure what the procedure should be.

Put the SIM in the new device.

On BES4 (I assume others are similar), you'll just assign the new handheld to the user and it will wireless provision it and restore all the settings/options from the other devices' backup.
