Default Messages filed to folder on BB, not updating in Notes Mailbox

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all-

I have one user who tells me that since I upgraded my BES, when she files a message to a folder from her BlackBerry, it's not being reflected as filed in her Notes mailbox.

-Wireless reconcile is on
-I have deleted all "DESKTOP" related service books & done another enterprise activation
-the "reconcile now" option from the BB had no effect

We recently upgraded from BES 2.2.3 to 4.1.3 on Domino 6.5.5. Notes client is 6.5.5. BlackBerry is a 7100g.

I am still trying to get familiar with all the new stuff in BES 4.1 (and there is a TON compared to 2.2)

Suggestions? Thanks so much!

On the blackberry open up the inbox options - Email reconciliation and ensure that Wireless reconcile is set to "on". If that doesn't work try to delete and undelete the "Desktop [CMIME]" service book and if that doesn't work make a backup (without service books), wipe the device, restore and do an enterprise activation. This will pull down a fresh set of service books and should resolve the issue for you.

As you mentioned your email reconciliation is on and this function should be fine with your software versions.

You would likely want to re create the state database Mail Folders.

1. Turn email reconciliation off on the BlackBerry smartphone.

2. Open users state database on the BES, go into the mail folders view on the left and delete contents.

3. Turn email reconciliation back on the BlackBerry smartphone and test after you see the Mail folders view of state database populate again, best to test with a new message.

This problem usually occurs, if a notes user was recertified. Ive noticed that the new certifier is updated only in blackberryprofiles.nsf, but not in user state-database. Open the view 'User-Info' in state database and update the Notes canonical name via agent. If you turn on reconcilation, foldersync will work again.
