Default Connection Transfer Limits

Please Login to Remove!

All,

I'm using Idokorro's Mobile Desktop application and I'm rec'ving an error that states "I have exceeded the maximum amount of data that can be transfered over a single connection. If using a BES, please contact your Admin to have this limit increased"

So ... my question is ... which setting to I change to allow for a larger data transfer limit (over a single connection)?

Thanks!

Bryan

If I had to guess, it's a setting in the MDS Connection Service. I'm on BES 4.1.3, and this is how I get to the setting:
  1. In the left pane, click on the MDS Connection Service Server (BESNAME_MDS-CS)
  2. In the right window, click Edit Properties.
  3. The MDS Properties opens up to the General properties.
  4. Look to the right for the sub-heading Flow Control.
  5. Increase the Maximum KB/Connection (according to a RIM rep I spoke to, the max size is 1024).
  6. Restart the MDS Connection Service.
  7. Give it a try...
  8. ...
  9. World Domination!!
