Default Non Activated BB Receives Messages

Please Login to Remove!

Exchange 2003
BES 4.1.3.18
Desktop Mgr 4.2.1.8
WindowsXP Pro
Cingular 8800

I'll try to be concise, as I'm not sure what info is needed (will provide more upon request).

I have a BB device, that has been wiped and reloaded, but not reactivated. However, it's receiving messages from the former user. I've question the user and she claims she did not setup any kind of personal (BIS), messaging on the device. We've moved her exchange mailbox to another server and ran HandheldCleanup on the BES, hoping to break this association.

Just can't figure where her mail is getting routed to this BB(PIN).

I've opened a ticket with RIM, but any comments on what to look for will be much appreciated.

Again, I can provide much more detail if asked. Thanks!

It's BIS. Call your carrier and have them wipe out the account.

@x14

You hit the nail right on the head. Blackberry support killed the BIS account the user had setup (though the user claims they did not). Messages are no longer being forwarded.

Case dismissed!
